ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA), police and law-enforcement agencies on Sunday launched a city-wide operation against illegal buildings in Islamabad.
Around 1,500 officials of the CDA and security forces conducted operation against several illegal marriage halls, marquees and fuel stations in Islamabad.
State Minister for Interior Shehryar Afridi visited several spots where the operation is on-going and reviewed the actions taken by the officials.
Speaking to the media, Afridi said that said no one in the country is above the law. “No one is above the law. The quick accountability of the miscreants is proof that change has arrived. We will guarantee across-the-board accountability.”
