KARACHI: Paramilitary force – Pakistan Rangers Sindh – and police on Friday claimed to have rounded up as many as seven hardcore criminals including five operators belonging to MQM-L who was involved in target killing and extortion.
Teams of Pakistan Rangers Sindh have apprehended at least five miscreants from Mehmoodabad, Darakhshan and Defence areas in an over night raids who were identified as Mushtaq alias Mulah, Farukh Ahmad alias Pawa, Mohammad Majid alias Tanki, Waqas and Mohammad Afzal. According to their spokesperson, the criminals have their political affiliation with Muttahida Quami Movement London and were involved in many cases of target killing, extortion and aerial firing to create harassment in areas. Arrested suspects have been handed over to police for further legal proceedings after initial interrogation by Rangers. Meanwhile SI Allah Ditta Mehar with police mobile near Suparco road Edhi Qabrustan in the remits of Moach Goth has arrested two robbers Nawaz Ali and Bilal and recovered two pistols from their possession. Encounter took place when arrested person on motor cycle were escaping and police officer signaled them to stop but they started firing on police mobile with the intention to kill police. Arrested persons were involved in several robberies in the area of Saeedabad, Baldia, Itehad town, Madina colony.
