KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly on Monday adopted a resolution condemning Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s demand for dissolution of assemblies and early general elections in the country.
PTI chief Imran Khan had called for dissolution of assemblies and holding of general elections. However, the statement received flak from MPAs belonging to the Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan.
Nisar Khuhro of the PPP tabled the resolution in the assembly, claiming that Khan wants to take a ‘shortcut’ to power.
Khurram Sher Zaman of the PTI in his speech branded the system a ‘fake democracy’, as he stood by PTI chief’s demand for early elections.
